Customs - Import personal property into Malaysia

The introduction of personal property application procedures

1. Merchant is the owner of the family unit and property.

2. Family unit impact:
A) The product has been used for at least 3 months.
B) The product shall not be discarded within 3 months from the date of importation of Malaysia.
C) Family effects mentioned in incidental or native product:
• Ceramics and cutlery
• Furniture
• Bed linen / cutlery
• Picture / divider canvas
• Electric kitchen and garden equipment such as pot, garden animal, TV, radio / DVD

3. The merchant must declare the customs order of No. 1 (K1) in accordance with the accompanying collection code:
A) 9800.00 400 second-hand personal effects
B) 9800.00 500 second-hand family impact

4. It would be desirable if you noticed that specific matters were required to allow / permit to be shipped to Malaysia. If you refer to the customs website: www.customs.gov.my, it would be desirable to have limited data on imported items / products.
